Irving Healthcare Foundation makes people healthier by awarding funds raised and encouraging volunteer service to worthy local nonprofit healthcare organizations in Irving, Texas, a community of 212,000 people located between Dallas and Fort Worth.

Irving Healthcare Foundation's vision is a healthier Irving, Texas.

Our History

Civic leaders established Irving Healthcare Foundation (IHF) as a public charity in 1977 to raise funds for nonprofit healthcare in Irving. To date, more than $32 million has been disbursed to our nonprofit beneficiaries.

Our primary recipient is Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Since 1977, more than $25 million in philanthropic funds raised during campaigns have helped Irving's only nonprofit hospital to meet Irving's medical needs. IHF also raises funds to help:

• children with medical needs and their families at Our Children's House at Baylor-Irving
• Irving Interfaith Clinic, the city's only charity medical and dental clinic for uninsured, needy residents
• Irving Dental Center
• the collaborative, obesity-battling efforts of the Childhood Obesity Task Force.

Our Team

IHF raises funds on behalf of five nonprofits through the leadership efforts of a volunteer board and the development work of four full-time staff members (two fundraising officers and two support-team members) and a part-time accountant who is a CPA.

Irving Healthcare Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Services as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization (Federal ID # 75-1570933).
