Kenneth's Story

Kenneth Dominy’s story could break your heart. It nearly broke his. A series of heart attacks, complicated by an irregular heartbeat condition, put him in and out of the hospital for over six months. He also lost his job. One of his hospitalizations was at Baylor Medical Center at Irving.  Luckily, the physician who treated him was also a volunteer physician at the Irving Interfaith Clinic (IIC), which provides free medical and dental care for needy residents of Irving. IIC became Kenneth’s doctor’s office or “medical home.” Volunteer cardiologists saw Kenneth and the clinic helped provide prescription assistance so he could have his life-saving medicines. Kenneth’s heart is now stable. And (how’s this for an ending?) he now volunteers at IIC.

Irving, Texas, has only one charity medical and dental clinic serving the uninsured poor - the Irving Interfaith Clinic. Volunteer doctors, nurses and dentists have seen the thousands of patient visits since the clinic opened its doors in January 2006.

We'll be able to see thousands more patients in 2012 with the help of gifts that concerned friends make to help the clinic!

Faithful Friends

To meet the exponentially growing cost for medical and dental supplies, prescription assistance and staff to support the volunteer professionals, Irving Interfaith Clinic has created an annual giving club named Faithful Friends.

Become a member of Faithful Friends with an annual gift of $250, $500, $1,000 or $2,000. It is one of the best ways to keep Irving healthy by making care available to folks who need it most but can least afford it.
