Beneficiary: Irving Interfaith Clinic
In August and September 2009, donors gave more than $6,500 to provide vaccines for inoculations at the Irving Interfaith Clinic. These will help safeguard the health of patients who otherwise could not afford these vaccines or who do not qualify for free programs provided by Dallas County.
Ambulance Monitors
Beneficiary: Baylor Medical Center at Irving
The Irving Healthcare Foundation raised funds to purchase 12 five-year software licenses that connect the City of Irving ambulances to the Baylor Medical Center at Irving's emergency department. More than 150 patients each year will benefit from this lifesaving equipment, which was completely funded through gifts made by several donors to the Foundation.
Intra-aortic Balloon Pump

During cardiac interventional procedures, this device unloads the tremendous stress the heart suffers. This is critically important, especially when there is significant heart muscle damage. A family foundation based in Irving made the $43,000 gift needed to purchase this device.
Balance Master
Beneficiary: Baylor Medical Center at Irving
The Balance Master precisely measures patients’ balance issues and helps physical therapists create specific rehabilitation programs for each patient’s distinct needs.This piece of equipment is the first in Texas dedicated to patient care and diagnoses. Baylor Irving anticipates this tool helping more than 900 patients every year. A concerned group of friends from Irving contributed gifts of all amounts for the $100,000 needed.
Arobella Wound Care
Beneficiary: Baylor Medical Center at Irving
Two donors contributed $50,000 to purchase the area's first Arobella Wound Care device. This equipment uses sterile saline solution and ultrasonic waves to clean wounds. As a result of this innovative approach, patients' wounds heal twice as quickly.
A Great Reason to Smile
Beneficiary: Irving Dental Center
Fluor Corporation and Rees-Jones Foundation contributed more than $30,000 total to improve the dental health of Irving residents. The dollars granted funded both prevention and treatment services at the Irving Dental Center, which is located inside the Parkland-Irving Health Center.
